Senior Portraits Step by Step

Step 1:  Schedule your Portrait Session

It is best to plan ahead and have your senior portraits taken early. Yearbook deadlines approach quickly and we recommend scheduling your appointment over the summer. Session types from Supreme to Basic offer something for everyone. For details click on the Book Now button below.

Step 2:  Prepare for your Session

Wear what you think you look best in. You should arrive dressed and camera ready. You will be assigned a personal dressing room upon arrival to make any finishing touches. If you’ve booked a Deluxe or Supreme session, don’t forget your props and additional outfit. Some good examples are a band instrument, sports gear like volleyball or baseball bat, letter jacket, or even the family pet.

Step 3:  Relax and let your Personality Shine

Our experienced photographers will make you feel right at home in front of the camera. Your session is all about capturing your personality and celebrating who you are. With many backgrounds, posing options and unique lighting you are guaranteed to look your best!

Step 4:  Choose your Yearbook Pose

Seniors will be showcased in the yearbook wearing formal attire. Check back approximately 5 days after your session to submit your favorite formal pose.* Cap & Gown poses cannot be used for yearbook.  *Some schools also require a casual pose to be submitted for the yearbook. The following schools must choose a formal pose described above as well as a casual pose:  Astronaut, Edgewood, Holy Trinity, Rockledge, Sebastian River.

Step 5: Order Portraits and Specialty Items

Portrait prints, keepsake items, frames, gallery wraps and grad announcements are just a few of the products Dean Stewart Photography has to offer. If you want to build your own portrait package or just order digital images we have plenty of options to choose from.
